The kitchen was quiet. Too quiet.
Raagu heard the faintest shuffle near the kitchen shelf. He froze. The cookie jar lid was lifting… slowly… carefully… as if someone very determined was trying not to be noticed.
There was a bear, on her tiptoes, balancing on the edge of the counter, sniffing the sweet smell of butter biscuits.
Raagu gasped. “Hey! That’s my jar!”
Nilah ran in, hearing Raagu, “Hey! That’s Akka Karadi”
Akka Karadi (bear) turned, surprised but not ashamed. She blinked, then gently held out one cookie, as if offering a trade. Raagu hesitated. He looked at the cookie. Then he did what big-hearted children sometimes do. He broke the cookie in half.
Soon they were both sitting on the kitchen floor, crumbs everywhere, giggling in their own ways.
Handcrafted with love by women of The Nilgiris, Karadi is made from soft, upcycled fabrics and safe, child-friendly materials.

- You receive a faulty or defective product.
- You receive a product that is different from what you ordered.
At The Good Gift, quality service is second nature hence, we don’t foresee such occurrences. However, should there be either of the situations as mentioned above, please be rest assured that we will do everything within our power to make it right for you.
Conditions For Returning Products:
- The products must be returned in the original condition they were received in, along with any bills, tags, labels, etc.
- Products must be in their original form and unsoiled.
- Brand packaging should be intact.
- Replacement of a product will be subject to the availability of the product on the website at that time.
Return, Exchange & Refund Guidelines:
- If the goods are delivered to you in a damaged condition, please email us at care@thegoodgift.shop with a photograph of the damaged product, the invoice details, and the barcode on the package.
- Your email must contain the name of the product and the order ID along with a detailed description of the nature of the concern, and pictures/videos of the product in case of damages or manufacturing defects.
- The email must be sent within 3 days of receipt of the product. Disputes registered after 3 days of delivery shall be entertained at the sole discretion of The Good Gift.
- We will be unable to facilitate returns or exchanges for products made as per custom requirements.
- We will be unable to facilitate refunds, returns, or exchanges for products on discount/sale or when discount codes are used in the order.
- If The Good Gift agrees to a refund, then you must send the product back to The Good Gift within 7 days of The Good Gift agreeing to the refund.
- Please ship your return/exchange order to the shipping address communicated to you via email.
- Refunds are processed within one week of receiving the returned goods.
- We can only process refunds for exchanges or returns once we have received the product. Typically this timeline is 5-7 days from the date of return shipping.
- Returned goods should retain their original tags. Goods that are damaged/without tags will be returned to the customer. We hope it doesn't come to this, but should the goods returned to us by you fail to meet our returns standards, the cost of returning them to you will have to be borne by you.
